In the video’s opening scene, Taylor places herself within a painting of Ophelia as a direct reference to the namesake and plot device of the song.

In this set up, Taylor pays homage to Busby Berkeley’s elaborate showgirl choreography.

This is an album from the sonic and visual perspective of a life on the other side of revisiting her own archive. And boy does it look good.

Taylor debuted a number of new costumes over the course of her Eras Tour dates in Miami which kickstarted this final leg of the tour. Amongst them were two debuts in the Midnights section.

Of the three versions of this dress that Taylor debuted over the course of her three nights in Miami, I think this one is my favourite.

I know some people express bafflement over the Speak Now set. Why so many gowns for just a single song set? My answer? Why not! We’re officially up to nine variants for this portion of the show. How fun(ny) would double digits be?

In a night full of plot twists (Exhibit A: There will be no explanation there will just be a second reputationbodysuit), the one that actually has me the most stumped is this designer switch during the Midnights set. 

The acoustic set dress has now had three design iterations, but eight total variants (accounting for different coloured versions for each design). To have brought her back into the fold for the Eras Tour felt like such a warm and lovely nod, indeed, to eras past. 

Empires have been built and fallen faster than a new reputation bodysuit, but here we are. The longest running gag of the Eras Tour comes to a close after a consecutive 131 wears - we finally have Version 2 of the reputation bodysuit!
