Leather and lace, indeed. For a birthday night dinner (a happy 37 to Travis!), Taylor opted for a date night staple: All black.

I’ll personally always +1 an all black look for an evening out. The way I’ve found to make monochrome “interesting” - which Taylor does so well here - is to vary the textures and proportions.

A tough oversized leather jacket with heavy buckle details (also seen in a coordinating leather buckled bag) and thick seams gets balanced by the feminine lace of a slim-cut dress and the thin minimalist straps of a sandal. A little bit of everything!

From a repeat / continuation perspective, a few of the pieces popped out to me here. Taylor wore a different dress by Simkhai on Saturday to support friend Dakota Johnson during her hosting stint on SNL. And the Jimmy Choos are a repeat from a different dinner outing Taylor had with Travis in London in May. Underscores the brands, and even specific items, she continues to turn to for her style.
