Game on! Taylor was on hand as the Chiefs kicked off the 2026-27 NFL season on home field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Heading into this season I had wondered how, or if, her entry to the stadium and her style playbook would shift. Much like last year, Taylor wasn’t photographed within the stadium pre-game as part of a formal “tunnel walk.” Sports coverage captured her during the game while in her suite.
When it came to style predictions for her fourth season of sports spectatorship, I wrote on Liner Notes, the TSS newsletter: “My instinct leans towards a return to the Chiefs-painted palette of red, cream, and gold - but filtered through the freedom and lightness that has defined her recent fashion. I’d expect plenty of retro references … exuberant prints … and a healthy dose of whimsy.” Enter: A gingham polo dress. A pattern that feels light and youthful. It brings to mind picnic blankets and a carefree feeling to me. Retro, tick. Exuberant print, tick tick. Dare I say a predictions touchdown?
For a season that’s characterized by her consistent, mainstay presence (it is her fourth year attending Chiefs home games - she’s got plenty of game winning streak under her belt!) as much as it is about momentous firsts (it’s also her first as a wife!) it was delightful to see her wear another piece from good friend Gigi Hadid’s clothing line. Taylor has worn Guest In Residence to multiple Chiefs games - including her very first season. Their clothes are typically cozy and casual, befitting their signature cashmere construction. This dress feels in line with Taylor’s love of vintage clothing while also underscoring the Chiefs colour palette perfectly. Charming!
