Out and About in New York City

Another night in New York, another topical Taylor fall fashion ‘fit. For the newsletter, I recently went about recreating some of my favorite Taylor fall ensembles. This one reminded me very much of a look Taylor wore in September 2023 where Taylor also wore a black Alaïa off-shoulder bodysuit with belted trousers and heels. It’s proof of Taylor’s consistent methodology to dress over the years. I know that I have go-to outfit formulas I like to rely on for different parts of my life (dinners with friends, heading to the office, date nights, etc) - how fun is it that Taylor does, too. This is definitely a ‘fit that I’ll be adding to my copy + paste list.

There are also a number of repeats at play here that connect not only to past looks but to recent ones, too. She carried that Stella McCartney bag in snakeskin just a few days ago when she wore it with a matching pair of snakeskin Stella boots. Here, she swaps the bag to a black leather also for a sandwich style moment with her pointed pumps. Speaking of, those heels are also a repeat from December 2023. This intentional approach to accessorizing keeps the style story consistent, while still new.
